    Our accredited Vocational courses cover the full spectrum of trades and run for 2 days over a full academic year. All prospective candidates will be subject to interview and assessment of their academic ability and will be expected to be keen and committed to pursuing a career in their chosen trade. All our level 1 & 2 courses are suitable for those who have little to no prior knowledge of the trade but think they might wish to pursue a career in that field. Purchase of appropriate protective clothing and industry safety footwear is a requirement of the course.

    Description

    The Diploma level 3 course is for those that have already been successful in achieving a level 2 qualification in Plastering, or who are able to demonstrate considerable experience of Plastering prior to joining the course. Achievement of this course will enable learners to move towards employment in the Plastering trade and on to NVQ.

    Entry Requirements

    As a guide learners should ideally be working at GCSE  in Maths and English grades A-D or at level 2. All learners must undertake an Initial assessment as part of the interview process and will have already achieved at least a level 2 CITB course. To complete the full qualification it is necessary to achieve 90% attendance.

    Course Structure

    The course is designed to a more advanced level of practical skills and knowledge in Plastering, which includes Health & Safety, forming and running in moulds, Rendering to complex external features, Rendering to internal complex features, analysing construction industry and more….

    Content/Units

    6 units comprising of 3 core and 3 occupational units of both practical and theory on line unit test, multiple choice.

    38 Weeks, 12hrs/week

    Costs and Payment Terms

    All learners pay a none refundable administration fee of £10 regardless of status. The course fee is £4,950.00 or if aged 19 or over then free through ‘Advanced Learning loan’ (we help you with this) this loan is not repayable until in employment  and earning £21k or more and then at payments of £9.00 per month.

    Fee Waiver

    Tuition is free* for learners aged 16-18 and for adults in receipt of eligible means tested benefits, provided that the satisfactory documentary evidence is provided from the job centre, dated one month within the enrolment date, except for the £10 administration charge.

    If you are looking to enrol on a level 3 course and you possess less than 5 GCSE grades (A-C) and hold no other full level 3 qualification, you may be entitled to full fee remission. For those not eligible for free tuition (details upon request) our fees are very competitive and we offer a flexible instalment plan.

    Assessment and Achievement

    A variety of methods will be used, which may include multiple choice tests, and your building a portfolio of coursework. All elements must be successfully achieved in order to gain full certification.
