The European Driving Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) is the internationally recognized qualification which enables people to demonstrate their competence in computer skills. ECDL has been designed to recognize individuals’ practical skills in using information technology in carrying out straightforward tasks in a range of contexts. This is a follow on course from ‘Level 2 ECDL Extra’, which further develops individuals’ knowledge, understanding and application of ICT for use at home and at work.
Note: All Level 3 courses are supported by ‘Advanced Learning Loan’.

This qualification is for learners who are existing/intermediate level users of ICT, or who have already accomplished a Level 2 ICT/ECDL course.
To achieve successfully, you should commit regular attendance. You must be aged 19 or over on 1st September of the academic year in which you enrol. This course is not suitable for ESOL learners at Entry Level or below.

38 Weeks, 6 hrs/week (220 GLH)

Costs and Payment Terms
The course fee is £1,470.00 or if aged 19 or over then free through ‘Advanced learner loans’ (we help you with this). This loan is not repayable until in employment and earning £21k or more and then at payments of £9.00 per month.
Tuition is free* for learners aged 16-18 and for adults in receipt of eligible means tested benefits, provided that the satisfactory documentary evidence is provided from the job centre, dated one month within the enrolment date, except for the £10 administration charge.
If you are looking to enrol on a level 3 course and you possess less than 5 GCSE grades (A-C) and hold no other full level 3 qualification, you may be entitled to full fee remission. For those not eligible for free tuition (details upon request) our fees are very competitive and we offer a flexible instalment plan.
Assessment and Achievement
All the 5 units must be achieved in order to achieve the ECDL Advanced certificate. Competency in each of the modules is tested via on-line assessment under exam conditions. Centre assessment may be undertaken at any point during the course.
Additional Learning Support may be available to assist learners in achieving their learning goals. If you are aged between 16 – 19, you may be eligible for “Education Maintenance Allowance” (EMA), where a weekly allowance is paid to support you whilst you learn. If you are over 19 and on certain full-time Level 2 or 3 courses, you may be eligible for an “Adult Learning Grant” (ALG) where a similar allowance is paid. Ask reception for information at the time you enrol.
